Get Your Butt In Shape At Booty Camps At Show Up Fitness In Santa Monica:

Ready to get your booty and your body in shape?

At Show Up Fitness in Santa Monica, the recent phenomenon known as “Booty Camps” are being offered to local residents. It’s a great way to get in shape while having fun at the same time.

“We’re trying to be competitive with the small group fitness community, but it needs to be noted that we thrive on one-on-one personal training,” said Chris Hitchko, owner of Show Up Fitness. “If our clients win the week, results will happen. I coined the term win the week in my book, ‘The Vulgar Truth Diet: Fat Loss.’”

“Winning the week” is a phrase that Hitchko likes to use often with his fitness club members. It’s important not only to get a good workout but also to maintain a healthy, well-rounded diet.

“If you come in three to four times a week you will see a significant change within two to three months,” Hitchko said. “We talk about a championship series. If you want the best results you need to lift weights at least four times a week. You also need to hone your diet as well.”

Fitness trainers are always available to help clients achieve their goals. There are at least two trainers in each class to add assistance and give expert advice.

“We’re a one-on-one private personal training studio but we’re getting into small group training and that competitive market and get business from that as well,” Hitchko said. “Being a smaller studio we offer more individualized feedback to each ‘bootycamper’ that you won’t find in the larger commercial gyms. The trainers are going around and helping each person. We’re all about being realistic and setting realistic goals.”

Currently class sizes are kept at a convenient number for small groups of about five to 15 people, from young to older members of all different levels and abilities. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner, intermediate, or at an advanced stage in fitness training, Show Up Fitness has something to offer for everyone.

The majority of group members are female, but Hitchko pointed out that “most personal training clients are about 75 percent female.”

“This is for all walks of life,” Hitchko added. “We’re able to tailor each workout to the level of each individual.”

Something to help fitness members get in the best possible shape are two top-notch workout machines: the Hip Thruster and the Glute Hamstring Developer (GHD).

“These two machines have been scientifically cited as the single best exercise for the backside,” Hitchko said. “They are the best equipment for group developments. Everyone is able to work out at the machines with plenty of repetitions. Resistance training, especially hip extension, maximizes glute development. Our workouts are based on scientific evidence and not the latest fad or trend.”

Booty Camps are currently being offered for new members at $200 per month (less than $10 per class) for unlimited classes. The first class is free for individuals and a friend.

To club members, unlimited Booty Camps are $100 per month. Class passes are also accepted.

There’s also a complimentary “one-on-one” session with the trainer to compliment the Booty Package.

Show Up Fitness is located at 1207 4th Street, Suite 150, in Santa Monica. Free 90-minute parking is offered for guests.
