The Aga Khan Foundation will host its 22nd annual Walk and new 5-kilometer Run on Saturday, November 13 at the Santa Monica Pier. The walk is an initiative of Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. (AKF USA) which raises awareness and funds to help those living in extreme poverty around the world.
Scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Walk and 5K Run offers participants a fun and meaningful way to support a worthy cause, a place to meet likeminded community members, while celebrating Los Angeles’ rich diversity of cultures and enjoy the picturesque Southern California coastline.
Participants are invited to stay after the run/walk to enjoy a day of fun for the whole family with free snacks, music, entertainment and games for all ages. Emceeing the program and activities for the Los Angeles Partnership Walk are Fox Sports West Reporter and philanthropist Aliya-Jasmine Sovani and actor Huse Madhavji (Saving Hope/CTV). Known for his roles on Oscar nominated feature film The Wolf of Wall Street and recurring role on CTV’s Schitts Creek, actor Rizwan Manji is also expected to participate in the Los Angeles Partnership Walk.
With thousands of participants again expected at this year’s walk/run, early registration is recommended. As an added incentive, pre-registered participants will be entered into a free raffle with a chance to win incredible prizes such as tickets to see the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Lakers, Apple watches and more.
Registration for the Aga Khan Foundation Run/Walk is just $35. To register for the Walk or 5K Run, or make a contribution in support of the AKF U.S.A Los Angeles Walk and 5K Run visit:http://support.akfusa.org/site/TR?fr_id=1131&pg=entry
