Several Government Offices and Services Closed Today in Observance of Independence Day

Pacific Park is currently featuring an alternating American and rainbow waving flags light display to mark the Orlando massacre, in “reverence to Orlando LGBT community and families,” according to the park. The homage began Sunday, June 12, and also displays red, white and blue, and rainbow colors, patterns and transitions.

Government offices, courts, schools, libraries, banks and post offices will be closed Tuesday for the Fourth of July holiday.

Trash collection in the city of Los Angeles will be pushed back by one day, according to the Los Angeles Department of Public Works Bureau of Sanitation.

All Metro-operated trains and buses will run on a Sunday/holiday schedule. For information on Metro schedules, visit www.metro.net, or call (800) COMMUTE.

Metrolink will offer Sunday service on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley and Inland Empire-Orange County lines.
