The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Wednesday for the eighth consecutive day and 12th time in 13 days, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $2.969.
The average price is 5.1 cents more than one week ago, 4.5 cents more than one month ago and 21.7 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The Orange County average price rose for the seventh consecutive day and 12th time in 14 days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $2.939.
The Orange County average price is 5.4 cents more than one week ago, 4.8 cents higher than one month ago and 20.5 cents above what it was one year ago.
