St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Fundraiser

Thursday, September 13, sees the eighth annual An Evening on the Beach at the Jonathan Beach Club in Santa Monica, to benefit St. Vincent Meals on Wheels of Los Angeles.

The oceanside celebration is famous for providing a unique food and wine experience, allowing guests to enjoy an evening of delicious dishes, glass in hand and toes in the sand.

According to the organizers, some of LA’s best chefs are set to present decadent bites, beer and wine tastings, specialty cocktails, and great live music while the summer sun sets over the ocean.

The sun sets on last year’s An Evening on the Beach.

Dress is casual, shoes are optional, and proceeds will help to provide 3,000 meals needed to feed homebound seniors and other vulnerable residents across the Los Angeles area every day.

This year’s chef line-up includes Zach Pollack of Alimento and Cosa Buona, Gino Angelini of Angelini Osteria, Genevieve Gergis of Bestia and Bavel, Ray Garcia of Broken Spanish, Jonathan Grahm of Compartes Chocolates, Denis Crutchfield and Shannon Swindle of Craft Los Angeles, Hilary Henderson of CUT Beverly Hills, Mimmo Bruno of Di Stefano Cheese, Chris Feldmeier of Gabi James, Jason McClain, Adina Rivera-Schaefer and Masa Endo of The Jonathan Club, Charles Olalia of Ma’am Sir, Jude Parra-Sickels of Majordōmo, Miles Thompson of Michael’s Restaurant, Enrique Cuevas of Mikkeller DTLA, Zak Walters of The Misfit and Ingo’s Tasty Diner, Dahlia Narvaez of Pizzeria Mozza, Osteria Mozza and Chi Spacca, Carlos Cabrera of Petrossian, Mark Peel of Prawn, and Brian Bornemann of Viale dei Romani.

Specialty cocktails will be created and presented by Shawn Lickliter of Republique, in addition to a martini bar complete with Petrossian caviar-stuffed olives. For the first time this year, Hermosa Brewing Company will present a selection of their local, craft beers.  A group of guest vintners will showcase a number of their wines, including Ascension Cellars, BeeKeeper Cellars, Bonaccorsi Wine Company, Dr. Loosen Wines, Golden State Wine Co., Kalin Cellars, Malibu Vineyards, The Malibu Vineyard, Navarro Vineyards, Nellcote, Revenant Winery, and Workman Ayer, with many more to come.

Tickets are $190, including parking, and are on sale now through the event website www.eveningonthebeach.com.
