The Santa Monica Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a sexual assault.
On July 6, 2011 at 10 p.m., a female victim reported that she was walking in the 1300 block of Pearl Street in Santa Monica, when an unknown suspect ran up from behind and pushed her. When the victim attempted to turn around, the suspect struck her and forced her to the ground. He then proceeded to hold the victim down while he sexually assaulted her. After completing the assault, the suspect fled from the area running eastbound on Pearl Street.
The suspect is described as a white male, 25-30 years of age, 5’8”-5’10” tall, 140-150 pounds, with blonde short curly hair, blue or green eyes, and wearing what appeared to be a full one piece black wet suit or similar type suit that covered his neck to his ankles.
