Christoph Waltz To Receive Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star Today:

Christoph Waltz will receive the 2,536th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today for his two Oscar-winning performances and a long career in Europe.

Quentin Tarantino, who directed Waltz in his Oscar-winning performances in “Inglourious Basterds” and “Django Unchained,” will join Waltz in speaking in the 11:30 a.m. ceremony in front of Musso & Frank Grill.

The ceremony comes five days after the release of Waltz’s latest film, “Horrible Bosses 2.” He also co-stars with Amy Adams in the Tim Burton directed biography of the husband-and-wife artists Walter and Margaret Keane, “Big Eyes,” set to be released Christmas Day.

Born Oct. 4, 1956 in Vienna, Waltz studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York  City. He began his career as a stage actor in Switzerland and Austria, then went on to appear in many European film, television and stage productions.

Waltz’s other English-language film credits include “The Green Hornet,” “Water for Elephants,” “The Three Musketeers,” “Carnage” and “The Zero Theorem.” He recently completed filming for “Tarzan,” set to be released July 1, 2016.
