Don Mischer To Receive Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star Today:

Don Mischer, a producer and director of television and live events, will receive the 2,539th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today.

Recent Emmy and Oscar hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Seth MacFarlane will join Mischer in speaking in the 11:30 a.m. ceremony in front of the Marshalls store on Hollywood Boulevard.

Born March 5, 1940, in San Antonio, Texas, Mischer has won 15 Emmy awards and a record 10 Directors Guild of America Awards.

Mischer has been an executive producer of the Primetime Emmy Awards for a record 13 times, including the most recent ceremony in August.

Mischer also produced the Oscars in 2011, 2012 and 2013; opening ceremonies for the Summer and Winter Olympics; the 2004 Democratic National Convention; Super Bowl halftime shows featuring Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen; President Barack Obama’s 2009 inaugural special at the Lincoln Memorial; and the annual Kennedy Center Honors ceremony.

Mischer also produced specials featuring performances by Barbra Streisand, Springsteen, Beyonce, Bono, Prince and Taylor Swift.
