Santa Monica Tree Lighting Happening Tonight!:

The City of Santa Monica tree lighting will take place tonight

Downtown Santa Monica’s holiday celebration Winterlit ignites with the Santa Monica Community Tree Lighting on Third Street Promenade tonight, Dec. 3, between Santa Monica Blvd. and Arizona Ave.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a triumphant entrance to the beat of the Santa Monica High School Marching Band performing holiday favorites for the crowd.

The pair will light the official City of Santa Monica Holiday Tree in the company of dancing Christmas elves and Santa Monica dignitaries.

A Wishlist Workshop will be activated where children can create and hand-deliver postcards to Santa, who will also be posing for photographs.

5:30 pm: Santa Monica High School Marching Band performance

6 pm: Santa & Mrs. Claus arrives

6:05 pm – 6:30 pm: Tree Lighting ceremony

6:30 pm – 8:30 pm: Pictures with Santa
