Malibu, St. Monica Continue To Struggle:

Two Westside football teams who have had difficult seasons lost their games last weekend.

Malibu High, which has a 2-6 record, was defeated in a Frontier League game by Fillmore, 47-6, on Friday, November 3.

St. Monica, which is 0-9, was shut out by Verbum Dei, 48-0, in a Camino Real League game on Saturday, November 4. St. Monica has scored 64 points this season and given up 370.

New Pilot Program Kicks Off with a Renter Survey:

The City of Santa Monica is seeking input from residents who live in rent controlled units through a survey that is active now through July 18.

The survey is a tool for the City to learn about the affordable housing needs of the community, and to determine the magnitude of rent burden among rent-controlled households.
