Rhonda Hyatt, Santa Monica College’s athletic director the last three years, has begun a new job on the faculty of College Of The Canyons.
It is believed SMC will appoint an interim athletic director who will handle the position until June, 2009. At that time a search will be conducted to fill the position on a permanent basis.
In resigning, Hyatt cited the commute from her home as the biggest factor. She lives much closer to College Of The Canyons.
