St. Monica, Crossroads Boys Hoops Win: Crossroads Boys Basketball Survives Pacifica, St. Monica Cruises

St. Monica breezed past Wildwood behind superior play of junior guard Troy Whiteto Ii on both ends of the court.

St. Monica and Crossroads boys basketball teams won their first-round games at the St. Monica Tip-Off Invitational Monday night, as the Mariners dominated Wildwood 74-41 and the Roadrunners survived a physical Pacifica Christian team.

Gyasi Williams scored 27 points for Crossroads (1-0) in the victory. St. Monica (1-0) never trailed in its dominant victory over Wildwood, tallying 17 3-pointers in the victorious debut for as first-year head coach Khi-Min Jung.

The Mariners next face Whitney on Tuesday while Crossroads take on Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies.
