Santa Monica Agensys Employees Take Part In Changing Tomorrow Day:

Agensys employees prepare gift bags for underinsured Latina breast cancer survivors who will be participating in an upcoming Regresar al Bienestar workshop. A total of 29 Agensys employees took part in the project.

A total of 29 Santa Monica-based Agensys employees took part in the company’s annual corporate social responsibility initiative, Changing Tomorrow Day, which was held last Friday, Sept. 14.

The employees went to the Los Angeles Cancer Support Community-Benjamin Center at 1990 S. Bundy Drive where they assembled care packages, put together marketing packets, and wrote letters to patients and donors to the organization.

In all, nearly 2,000 Astellas employees took part in service projects throughout the Changing Tomorrow Day campaign, which is more than 80 percent of the company’s total workforce in the Americas.

Masao Yoshida, President and CEO of Astellas, said he was gratified by the employees’ response to Changing Tomorrow Day.

“It is very important to us that we give back to our communities as much, if not more, than they give us,” Yoshida said. “After all, these communities are our homes, too.”
