The “Children’s Tree of Life” 30th Anniversary Public Rededication will be held from 6-7 pm at the tree, located in Palisades Park at Ocean Avenue and Colorado Avenue, just north of the Santa Monica Pier. The Children’s Tree of Life was three times destroyed and three times replanted since the young sapling was first publicly planted at a 1983 Earth Day peace celebration in Santa Monica. It was officially declared a “living monument to world peace” by late Santa Monica Mayor Ken Edwards.

Social Bike Ride to Monarch Sanctuary will be held from 9:30 am to 12 pm, starting at Santa Monica Bike Center, 1555 2nd Street. Donate your bras between 11 am and 1 pm for the Clothes Line Project in the quad at Santa Monica College. Students and the public are invited to participate in the Clothes Line Project to help spread awareness on women’s violence.
