The Penthouse Offers Rooftop Dining 17 Stories High At The Huntley Hotel:

Very few Southern California eateries offer elevated dining rooms. Even fewer feature sweeping views of the ocean, mountains, and city life from almost any seat within the restaurant. Yet that is exactly what diners will find at The Penthouse, which sits 17 floors above ground at the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica.

Offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, The Penthouse also features extended dinner and a late night menu on Fridays and Saturdays, brunch on weekends, and happy hour selections Monday through Friday.

For breakfast, diners have an extensive selection of omelets, eggs, and traditional fare, including any style eggs, Belgian waffles, bagel and lox, corned beef hash, French toast, Moroccan eggs, and a breakfast sandwich.

Come lunchtime, diners can select a small plate such as crab cake or poached shrimp cocktail, wood oven dishes such as tomato flatbread, entrees like spicy tomato capellini and crispy skin salmon, and sandwiches such as free-range turkey and sirloin beef hamburger. There is also a wide selection of soups and salads.

For dinner, patrons of The Penthouse can select a few dishes for the table, including a diverse cheese plate, flatbreads, mussels, and a fruit cocktail.

First course options include crab cakes, pork and beans, grilled cheese, escargots, shaved asparagus salad, beef carpaccio, steak tartar, and crispy duck confit.

Main courses for dinner include pepper-crusted tuna, New Zealand snapper, braised short rib, three types of pasta, fillet mignon, Colorado rack of lamb, and pan seared diver scallops.

There is also a wide selection of desserts, wines, and cocktails.

The Penthouse is located atop The Huntley Hotel at 1111 Second Street.
