Three Men Arrested After Fighting Next To Pacific Coast Highway In Santa Monica:

Three Santa Monica men involved in a fight next to the Pacific Coast Highway were all arrested on Sunday, Sept. 15.

At 9:55 pm officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to the area of Pacific Coast Highway and the California Incline in order to investigate a fight involving three men.

The officers were informed by dispatch that all three men were bleeding from their faces and one of them was armed with wooden sticks.

When the officers arrived they saw the three men standing on the east side of the Pacific Coast Highway.

All three were bleeding from the face, appeared agitated and out of breath, signifying that they were probably the suspects.

The officers questioned the men and the first one told them that the other two men had attacked him after they had “exchanged words.”

The man also told officers that he was a third degree black belt and had availed himself of his Katana Sticks (Katana sticks are a traditional Okinawan weapon consisting of two sticks connected at one end with a short chain or rope) to defend himself after being punched in the face.

The other two men gave conflicting stories.

As a result it was impossible for the officers to determine who was the primary aggressor so they arrested all three men.

They included a 46-year-old Santa Monica resident (bail $30,000), a 27-year-old Santa Monica resident (bail $50,000), and a 29-year-old Santa Monica resident (bail $50,000).

The charges they face are assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a Billy club, and battery with serious injury.
