Big Blue Bus Stop Improvement Project To Begin On Monday:

A Big Blue Bus in downtown Santa Monica.

Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus Stop Improvement Project (BSIP) will start construction on Monday, March 31.

BBB will install new amenities at bus stops within the City of Santa Monica in groups of six to 10 at a time.

The first six stops to close are at the bottom of this story. Affected stops will close for three to four weeks.

During construction, plan to board and alight at the stop before or after the temporarily closed location.

BBB will post temporary signs to notify riders of pending stop closures 10 to 14 days before construction.

The following stops will close for three to four weeks starting Monday, March 31. You will be able to board at the stop before or after the temporarily closed location.

Along Lincoln:

— At Ashland Ave heading to UCLA (board at Marine or Ocean Park)

— At Ashland heading toward LAX (board at Ocean Park or Navy Street)

Along Main Street:

— At Hollister heading to downtown Santa  Monica (board at Pacific or Ocean Park)

— At Hollister heading toward LAX (board at Ocean Park or Pacific)

— At Marine heading toward downtown Santa Monica (board at Ashland or Rose)

— At Marine heading toward LAX (board at Rose or Ashland)
