Free Dance Performance At Tongva Park Sunday Afternoon:

Tongva Park has sweeping views of the Ocean.

Donna Sternberg & Dancers presents The Architecture of Space, an exploration in movement at a free performance today, May 17, at Tongva Park in Santa Monica.

Incorporating live dancers and musicians from the Venice Symphony Orchestra (VSO), this piece explores how the landscape architecture of Tongva Park affects the public both aesthetically and psychologically.

Tongva Park provides a rich environment with its numerous and diverse spaces. Dancers, musicians and audience members will travel throughout the park during the performance, encountering the different sculptures, plants, pathways and water elements. The park itself will become a performer in the work, with its architectural elements inspiring and influencing the type of movement and sound that will be performed.

The Architecture of Space will be presented at 3 pm; Tongva Park is located at 1615 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica.

Admission is free. Support for the performance is made possible, in part, by the City of Santa Monica.
