A preliminary magnitude-2.7 earthquake struck near Marina del Rey tonight, but there were no immediate reports of significant damage or injuries.
The quake hit at 9:55 p.m. at a depth of 5.6 miles. It was centered two miles east-northeast of Marina del Rey, two miles southwest Culver City, and four miles east-southeast of Santa Monica, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
