‘Pentagon Papers’ Opens Sunday At The Santa Monica Playhouse:

Pentagon Papers concludes March 25 at the Santa Monica Playhouse.

For the first time on stage, the hidden history of the Vietnam War that destroyed more than one president is dramatized at the Santa Monica Playhouse Sundays in the production “Pentagon Papers” through March 25.

President Richard Nixon referred to the Watergate break-in which eventually lead to his resignation as ‘silly’ and ‘incredible’ in grand jury transcripts made public in November 2011. J-Powers’s new play “Pentagon Papers” presents key passages from the recently declassified Pentagon Papers revealing the shocking secrets that led him to create a team of Watergate burglars and eventually to the self-destruction of his presidency. Out Of The Box.
On Friday, August 5, at 10:52 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department rushed to investigate a report of an attempted residential burglary in the 1100 block of 24th Street. The officers learned that the reporting party had spotted the suspected burglar attempting to “jimmy” open the rear door of a nearby residence and that the reporting party had confronted the suspect about what he was doing.
