SMMUSD to Host Series of Holiday Concerts and Events

The Public Is Welcome at Little to No Cost

The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District’s secondary schools’ visual and performing arts programs are set to host various concerts and events during the holiday season, welcoming the public at minimal or no cost. 

The listed events are as follows:

December 7 – Malibu Bands Concert:

Experience the winter concert by the Malibu Middle and High School Bands at the Malibu High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

December 7 – Lincoln Middle School Choir Winter Concert:

Enjoy the Lincoln Middle School Choir Winter Concert featuring various choirs at the Lincoln auditorium, commencing at 7 p.m. Tickets are free with a suggested $5 donation per ticket. Get tickets here: https://bit.ly/LMS-ChoirWinter2023.

December 12 – Santa Monica High School Orchestras Winter Concert:

The Santa Monica High School Orchestra will present its winter concert at 6 p.m. in Barnum Hall, featuring multiple orchestras. Tickets are available for $10 (adults) and $5 (students/senior citizens) at: https://bit.ly/Samohi-OrchestraWinter2023.

December 13 – John Adams Middle School Choir Concert:

Experience the JAMS Winter Choral Concert at 7 p.m. in the JAMS Performing Arts Center Auditorium. Tickets are available at the door with free admission and donations welcome. More information: https://bit.ly/JAMS-ChoirWinter2023.

December 14 – Malibu Choirs Concert:

Enjoy the Malibu Middle and High school choirs’ winter concert at 6 p.m., including a performance with elementary choir students. Admission is free and open to all.

December 14 – Lincoln Middle School Band Winter Concert:

The Lincoln Middle School Band Winter Concert starts at 6:45 p.m. in the Lincoln auditorium, featuring various bands. Concert tickets are free with a suggested $5 donation per ticket. More information: https://bit.ly/LMS-BandWinter2023.

December 15 – Santa Monica High School Motus Perpetuus Concert:

At 6:30 p.m. in Barnum Hall, the Santa Monica High School Choir presents “Motus Perpetuus,” a unique concert incorporating student movement. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students/senior citizens. Purchase tickets here: www.samohichoir.org/.

December 19 – SMASH Middle School Concert:

The SMASH Middle School winter concert will be held at 2 p.m. in the Obama Center auditorium, featuring the Band, Choir, and Orchestra. Admission is free.Some events may require advance tickets or reservations due to possible sell-outs.
