Actors like David Duchovny, the creator and cast of “Baywatch” and the cast of the Web Series “Point Dume” were among the 100 cyclists who arrived at the Santa Monica Pier on Sunday to ride stationary bikes for the Kinetic Cycling and 100 Mile Man’s first ever Pedal on the Pier charity event.
This was the first time this has taken place in Santa Monica. It had been in New York’s Central Park in previous years. The goal for all of the the riders was to ride 100 miles on the stationary bike.
The bike ride was to raise money for the Harold Robinson Foundation to send inner city kids to camp over the summer. “Baywatch” actors Kelly Packard, David Chokachi, Mike Newman and Alexandra Paul have volunteered at the Chance for Children camps in previous years, teaching the kids to swim.
The Pedal at the Pier event raised well over $200,000, which will be used to support the camp.
