405 Freeway, 10 Freeway At A Standstill After Suicide Attempt In Santa Monica: Breaking News

The Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica has just re-opened to traffic after a man attempted to commit suicide by jumping off the bluffs on the 800 block of Palisades Park at about 3:30 p.m. this afternoon.

Santa Monica Police Department Sgt. Richard Lewis said the person was still alive and had been transported to a local hospital.

Lewis said the man fell approximately 40 feet.

The Mirror has received multiple reports that the 10 Freeway and the 405 Freeway have come to a complete standstill as the PCH was shut down for almost an hour.
