Cut Your Teeth – Wolvesmouth At SMMoA Culinary Artists-In-Residence
— Tuesdays through Saturdays Oct. 15-26
— 2525 Michigan Avenue, Space G1
At the tail end of the fall equinox, Wolvesmouth creator Craig Thornton begins a two-week residency at the Santa Monica Museum of Art.
“Cut Your Teeth” is an exquisitely calibrated culinary experience mounted in the Museum’s Main Gallery.
Drawing inspiration from the visceral elements of nature, Thornton and artist Matthew Bone will transform the Museum into an overgrown installation of organic, vegetal, and skeletal forms.
Each evening, guests will come together to dine in a dark and mysterious wonderland.
This actualization of Thornton’s imagination touches on all senses and introduces participants to the collision of food and art.
Entry to the exhibit is $5 ($3 artists/seniors/students) between 11 am and 6 pm Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Dinners will take place Oct. 16-19 and Oct. 22-25 at 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm for $225 per guest.
