The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce presents its Wellbeing Festival featuring the Buy Local Marketplace on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 11 am to 5 pm.
This year it will be held at the Civic Center surface lot at 1855 Main Street.
Local businesses, non-profits, and City departments will gather at this free festival to provide free expertise, advice, and product samples promoting a healthy and happy lifestyle for the entire Santa Monica community.
Residents are encouraged to enjoy the fun filled day while raising awareness about the economic, environmental, and community benefits of buying local.
Visit the interactive booths of UCLA Health, Kaiser Permanente, and Providence St. John’s Health Center to meet friendly therapy dogs and receive blood pressure screenings, health education, and body mass index readings.
SMMUSD Jazz Band, interactive classes including ballroom dance with Arthur Murray Dance Center, Zumba, Naam Yoga LA, and the Santa Monica Trainer Challenge showcasing the City’s favorite trainers will take to the stages throughout the day.
In the TECH Garden, attendees can receive one-on-one assistance from tech experts and participate in seminars about popular topics such as Phone Basics, Programs to Connect with Online Communities and Professional Content from local tech companies.
The Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows will present demos by local chefs.
Attendees can build their own disaster kit, learn CPR, and pet first aid with the Santa Monica Red Cross.
And if that wasn’t enough, attendees can even check out the newest models from LAcarGuy and Santa Monica Ford.
This much anticipated event is where fellow residents and colleagues will come together to celebrate Wellbeing Santa Monica.
