Santa Monica Symphony Presents the Verdi Requiem on April 1, 2017

The Santa Monica Symphony will be giving a FREE performance of the Verdi Requiem on Saturday, April 1st, 2017, 7:30 p.m. at Santa Monica High School’s Barnum Hall (600 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica). The Requiem, which calls for a full orchestra and choir, is a work of immense drama and power that met with popular acclaim immediately after its completion in 1874. Rife with themes of life, death, the divine, and the sacred, this is a work you will not want to miss!

The orchestra will be joined by soloists Caroline McKenzie, Soprano; Tracy Van Fleet, Mezzo-Soprano; Timothy Gonzalez, Tenor; and James Raycroft, Bass-Baritone, along with a choir comprising singers from the LA Master Chorale and other area vocal ensembles. Please note that the time for the performance has been corrected from some programs and fliers that went out earlier with an incorrect afternoon start time.
