Caring for someone with dementia is a challenging undertaking. To help, UCLA Health, in
conjunction with WISE & Healthy Aging and Alzheimer’s/Greater Los Angeles, is hosting a free
half-day educational conference to support and care for family members and caregivers.
The program includes presentations that offer tools to better cope with caregiver demands,
updates on the latest research on Alzheimer’s disease, information on referral and legal
services, and self-care activities to help caregivers maintain their own health and wellbeing.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to consult with physicians, nurses, dieticians,
pharmacists, case managers and other UCLA geriatric medical experts about their specific
concerns.
The free seminar is on Sat., March 11 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Ken Edwards Center,
