International Karate Tournament Comes to Santa Monica: SaMoHi Hosts Renshinkan Karate-Do Championship

Judges award victory to a kata participant at the 5th Shorinji-Ryu Renshinkan Karate-Do Pan-American Championship at SaMoHi this past weekend.

Santa Monica High School (SaMoHi) hosted the 5th Shorinji-Ryu Renshinkan Karate-Do Pan-American Championship over the weekend.

Dojos from North America, South America, the Caribbean and Japan came to the SaMoHi gymnasium to compete in kata (form) and kumite (sparring) against some of the best Renshinkan in the world.
