Bail Set At $10,000 For Santa Monica Man Who Urinated On Lamppost: Alert Police Blotter: Over Exposed.

A 40-year-old Santa Monica resident was arrested on Saturday, March 2 on an indecent exposure charge after urinating on a lamppost.

At 4:20 pm officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to the 1700 block of Euclid Street after hearing about a man urinating on a lamppost.

When the officers arrived they spoke with a witness who said she had been standing on her front porch when she saw the suspect pull his pants about half-way down his legs (this is not necessary given that almost all pairs of pants are fitted with a zip, or button fly) and begin to urinate on the lamppost in full view of anyone who might have been there.

The witness had at that point yelled out to this man, requesting that he immediately stopped urinating against the lamppost.

The suspect had then turned towards the witness and, without raising his pants at all, looked at her resulting in full exposure of his private parts.

The suspect then asked the witness not to call police.

At that moment, a male resident of the household exited the building, and told the suspect to stop what he was doing and leave the area forthwith.

The suspect then turned towards them again in order to expose himself to both parties one last time (for good measure, perhaps he thought?).

The suspect then walked away.

The officers went in search of this suspect and found him at the corner of 11th Street and Pico Boulevard.

The officers detained him and after he had been positively identified they took him off to jail.

This Santa Monica resident was charged with indecent exposure.

His bail was set at $10,000.
