Culver City Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Sexually Molesting Student:

A 39-year-old former teacher at a private Westside girls school accused of sexually molesting a 16-year-old student pleaded not guilty Monday.

Elizabeth Ann Brewer of Culver City is charged with three counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object, two counts of oral copulation and one count of forcible oral copulation between January 2004 and December 2006.

Brewer was a teacher at Notre Dame Academy, a Catholic college-prep school for girls in West Los Angeles, during the time in question.

Brewer faces up to 21 years in prison if convicted as charged.

She is due back in court Jan. 20 when a date for a preliminary hearing is expected to be set.
